Gingerbread Castle Competition

Please come and support our culinary students on Saturday December 15th. This castle has been entered in a competition at Higgins Armory Museum. People’s choice voting is from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm with the winners being announced at 3:00 pm. I believe the cost of our admission to the museum is $7. Higgins Armory is located at 100 Barber Ave Worcester. Twenty three of our students have been involved with this project that started in September.

Valley Tech Graduates Prepare for the Future

The graduating Class of 2012 from Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School has unlimited potential and a vast amount of opportunities ahead. Within the exciting atmosphere of the Hanover Theatre in Worcester on the evening of May 31, 273 Valley Tech students took the final steps of their secondary careers by receiving diplomas and certificate of occupational proficiency during the 43rd Commencement Exercises in the systems history. Click here for full Story

Assabet Valley FIRST Robotics Team to Hold First Annual Holiday Donation Drive on Dec. 2

The Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School FIRST Robotics Team will be holding its First Annual Holiday Donation Drive on December 2nd from 9 AM until 1PM at Stop and Shop, 10 Technology Drive, in Hudson. The drive will benefit the Hudson Food Pantry and Toys for Tots. .This is our first year doing this but with all the families in need locally, the students really wanted to do something to help out,. said Shawn Prashaw, FIRST Team Organizational Liaison. .We hope that we can be successful and be able to donate a fair amount to the Food Pantry and Toys for Tots. We will also accept cash donations or gift cards for groceries or toys, and ALL proceeds will be donated. Diman announces Markham Award nominee

Diman is pleased to announce the nomination of Nicholas Parente as our Walter J. Markham Award nominee for 2013. The Markham Award is granted by the Massachusetts Vocational Association to one outstanding vocational student from the state. Parente is an 18-year old Machine Tool Technology senior from Fall River. Last year he earned SkillsUSA gold medals at both the state and national level in the CNC Turning competition. Click here for full story.
